This site is the Instructional Technology portfolio of Kathy Bennett.  It was created as part of the Instructional Technology Master's Program at Kent State University.  Through this site I would like to share with you some of my accomplishments while completing the Master's of Education program in Instructional Technology/Library Media at Kent State University.

I started the program in the Fall of 2008 and had obtained a part-time library media position at Crestview high school the previous fall.  With the constant changes and increase of technology, I felt that it would be important for me to further educate myself so that I could prepare students for the future in a technology enriched society.  My main focus through this program was high school aged students.  As you will see through my accomplishments, most of them are geared to older students.

The program at Kent helped me transform the media center into a place where technology and education work hand in hand on a daily basis.  By completing this program while working in the school media center,  I have been able to see the value in the education I received and how I can successfully use it to educate students in technology as well as become life long learners.

The links at the top of the page will navigate you through the requirements of the program.  They represent my knowledge and growth as an
ITEC student.
